ASDM reports positive growth in FY12

Advanced Surgical Design and Manufacture (ASDM) has experienced a strong performance during the 2012 business year (FY12), despite difficult trading conditions.

The company's full-year sales revenue for the 12 months ending on June 30th 2012 came to AU$8.7 million (5.68 million pounds), up by 17.6 percent compared with the previous year.

During the period, new distribution agreements were successfully executed and core product sales increased year over year, while pricing across various product lines remained strong.

Moreover, the company also succeeded in streamlining its manufacturing processes and its use of resources, which has helped to further bolster its overall business performance.

Peter Kazacos, chairman of ASDM, said: "We still face significant challenges, but with the dedication of the management team, FY13 is shaping up to be a positive year."

The company was originally founded in 1994 and has achieved global success with products such as the Active Total Knee, which is used by an estimated 7,500 people worldwide.
