Astra Tech adds new warranty for Atlantis abutments

Astra Tech has announced that its Atlantis dental abutments are to be subject to a new warranty which encompasses a wide array of implant systems.

The new warranty for the range will cover both the abutment and the implant, even if the implant's supplier is a competitor company.

Astra Tech's Atlantis abutments offer compatibility with systems from a wide array of major manufacturers, including Nobel Biocare, Zimmer Dental and Straumann.

Earlier this year, the manufacturer confirmed Dentsply Friadent as the latest addition to this roster, with the Atlantis prosthetics now working in conjunction with Dentsply's XiVE and Frialit implants.

The firm said these developments will "further secure Astra Tech's leadership position in providing patient-specific abutments for all major implant systems".

Atlantis abutments are described as offering superior function and aesthetics to other products, due to the fact they are designed individually based on the final shape of the tooth.
