AstraZeneca to present new cancer research data at AACR 2017

AstraZeneca has confirmed that it will be attending the forthcoming American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) annual meeting in Washington DC, where it will share its latest oncology insights.

Running from April 1st to 5th, the event will see AstraZeneca and its global biologics research and development arm MedImmune present 60 abstracts from its early oncology portfolio, including seven oral presentations.

They will cover its latest research into DNA damage responses and tumour drivers and resistance, as well as the continued progress being made in early immuno-oncology and antibody-drug conjugate science.

Compounds that will be discussed during AACR 2017 include the Janus kinase 1 inhibitor AZD4205, the selective MCL-1 macrocylic inhibitor AZD5991 and the CDK9 inhibitor AZD5576, as well as data highlighting the benefits of combining AZD4205 with Tagrisso.
