Atlantis Healthcare hires new managing director

Atlantis Healthcare has named Charles MacKinnon as its new managing director for the UK, effective as of this month.

Mr MacKinnon has been appointed as the successor to Kate Reid, who is returning to her native New Zealand to take up a senior management role within the organisation.

Having originally established its London office in 2007, the UK business has grown under Ms Reid's leadership into a team of 50 staff members, who work with leading European pharmaceutical companies to develop patient-centred adherence solutions.

The new managing director will help to maintain this growth by leveraging his senior leadership experience with companies such as Complete Medical Communications and Diversified Agency Services.

Aunia Grogan, chief executive officer of Atlantis Healthcare, said: "Charles' background in clinical pharmacology and vast experience in healthcare communications will add significant value to the patient adherence and behaviour change solutions we deliver to all healthcare system stakeholders in the UK."

In addition to London, Atlantis Healthcare has offices in New Zealand, Australia, Germany and Spain, and has deployed more than 70 adherence programmes spanning 43 disease types to date.
