Audevard Releases New ‘Ekyflogl Gel’ for Horses
It is commonplace for equine animals such as horses to experience orthopaedic problems. 97% of those asked expressed that they have observed indications of inflammation that have the potential to develop into a musculoskeletal disease. Almost 93% of horses who have begun their training are experiencing one if not multiple disorders linked to this.
Audevard, a specialist in equine health, has just released the UK’s first steroid gel to treat inflammatory skin conditions in horses.
The topical corticosteroid marketed as ‘Ekyflogl Gel’ aligns with Audevard’s product portfolio which predominantly includes products for horses. They already have a selection of products that help with problems concerning the musculoskeletal system, including ‘Tildren’ and ‘Equinoxx’.
The equine treatment gel is used across Europe to treat localised musculoskeletal problems such as tendinitis, arthritis, and muscular strain, among other ailments.
Ekyflogl is the highest selling product in Europe, it is sold in 125mL containers alongside a pump to measure the dose. The viscosity of the product has been made to improve how vets or owners apply the gel.
