Axiom launches new MiPetAllergy test for companion animals
Axiom Laboratories has announced the launch of a new pet allergy test called MiPetAllergy, which was developed in partnership with ALK, BMS and Artuvetrin.
The innovative testing method is not affected by medication and requires no withdrawal period prior to testing, making it easier than ever for vets to identify and treat companion animals for the specific allergens causing their symptoms.
It features a number of allergens on its panels and also incorporates a food elimination diet selector tool, which was developed in association with Royal Canin.
To demonstrate its confidence that the test will provide consistency between the screening and panel results, Axiom is offering a money-back guarantee to users that find the results to be discordant.
Dan Sherry, general manager at Axiom, said: "MiPetAllergy represents two-and-a-half years of research, so we are delighted to announce its arrival … We hope it will help practices dealing with allergy patients to identify and treat for the specific allergens causing their symptoms."
The firm is based in Newton Abbott in Devon and has offered a clinical pathology service to the veterinary industry for more than 25 years.
