Bausch and Lomb launches redesigned PreserVision eye vitamin
Bausch and Lomb has launched a new version of its PreserVision Eye Vitamin AREDS 2 Formula range, which features a smaller and more convenient design.
The product is a soft-gel based pill that includes ingredients such as omega-3 fatty acids, lutein and zeaxanthin in order to aid consumers in improving eye health and avoiding the effects of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
This reduced version of the treatment has been launched by Bausch and Lomb in response to customer feedback and is designed to be taken twice daily, with each dose consisting of two pills.
Philip Gioia, head of pharmaceuticals for Bausch and Lomb in the US, said: "As the market leader in ocular nutritionals for AMD, we felt it was critical that we bring this new formulation to the market in a convenient, smaller design."
Last month, the company expanded its product range by purchasing the injectable miotic drug Miochol-E from Novartis.
