Bayer HealthCare launches new Canesten marketing campaign
Bayer HealthCare is raising awareness of its Canesten brand of women's health products via the launch of a new UK advertising campaign.
The manufacturer is spending 1.5 million pounds to air a series of TV commercials for Cansten thrush relief agents, which are airing across all national channels from January 10th to March 27th 2011, reports Chemist and Druggist.
These adverts will aim to educate consumers on the symptoms of the condition, as well as provide information on the treatment options available via the Canesten brand.
According to Bayer HealthCare, the launch of these advertisements is expected to coincide with a sales increase of more than 30 percent for the Canesten Duo offering, which includes both capsule and cream-based treatments.
In addition to the orally-administered capsules and external and internal creams, the Canesten thrush range includes a pessary-based administration method.
Other Canesten products include therapies for cystitis, sweat rash, athlete's foot and various fungal infections.
