5th February 2009

Bayer CropScience has been demonstrating its successful partnerships with other members of the food industry, the company has said.

As part of the Bayer group, the firm has been showcasing its links with food wholesalers, producers, exporters and importers at the Fruit Logistica event.

These include international partnerships, in particular those in Central and Latin America which were established in 2008.

Dr Rudiger Scheitza, member of the board of management at Bayer CropScience, explained the importance of collaborations for the company, which provides technical expertise and advice as well as crop protection solutions.

"We are working together on successful solutions that enable the sustainable and environmentally-compatible production of high-quality food," he commented.

Dr Scheitza added integrated crop protection is a necessary part of the sustainable system as consumers have "growing expectations" for food freshness, availability and affordability.
