BCF Technology announces updated version of Carestream Vita imaging software

BCF Technology has announced the launch of a new and updated version of the imaging software for its Carestream Vita CR x-ray system.

The newest edition of the Image Suite Software now supports viewing of x-ray images on iPad devices via the new Tablet Viewer option, which can also be accessed by users of older versions of the software who choose to upgrade.

With this new feature, it is easier than ever for vets to share relevant imagery with pet owners, keeping them in the loop over the progress of their animal's treatment.

Other attractive features of the upgraded software include web-based patient scheduling, image review and reporting and flexible archiving solutions, making it ideal for veterinary practices and veterinary surgical and specialty centres.

Heidi McIntosh, Carestream's global marketing manager for x-ray solutions, said: "Consultations can be more personal, since owners will be able to see evidence of their pet's disease or condition on x-ray images as the veterinarian is explaining diagnosis and treatment options."

This comes after BCF expanded its product range further last month with the launch of the Cuattro Slate 4 Equine DR, a tablet-like digital radiography device.
