BCF Technology hosts visit from Airdrie after-school club
BCF Technology has demonstrated its commitment to community outreach by hosting children visiting from an after-school club in Airdrie.
Staff from the animal health technology firm previously helped to decorate the club's facilities at St Serfs School, with the aim of completing the makeover in time for the children returning from their summer holiday.
As a follow-up to this, the kids – aged between five and 12 – were invited to BCF's factory for a few hours, where the company presented the club with a cheque for 600 pounds to go towards further renovations to their site.
The club is run by the YMCA and has reported a significant increase in membership as a result of the improvements made to the building.
Jason Rogers, BCF's marketing manager, said: "It was great to have the children visit our headquarters today. They certainly seemed to have lots of fun, especially jumping on our giant bean bags and playing pool."
This comes after the company recently sponsored the fourth annual Vet Charity Challenge, which was held at Cannock Chase in Staffordshire last month.
