BCF Technology launches Firefli monocular ultrasound image viewer

BCF Technology has launched a new monocular viewer, Firefli, that allows users to examine ultrasound images in a more comfortable and convenient way.

Custom-made for those who have one dominant eye and would prefer to see the ultrasound image in a monocular viewer, the device is connected to an adjustable baseball cap in order to ensure it sits comfortably on the head.

It is compatible with all Easi-Scan machines and provides users with a defined ultrasound image, but with added peripheral vision. The eye piece can be altered to fit over the right or left eye, based on preference.

The viewer is made with high-end OLED technology and features glare guard protection, while the cap itself can be swapped with a winter headband or hat.

BCF Technology said: "For those who feel uncomfortable wearing a binocular, the Firefli provides you with a seamless alternative."

This comes after the company commenced distribution of the new Vita Flex CR X-ray system from Carestream earlier this month.
