BD launches new software update for Pyxis ES system

BD has announced the launch of the newest software update for the Pyxis Enterprise Solution (ES) system, offering a range of beneficial new features.

Designed to improve patient safety and enhance workflow benefits for health systems' medication management, the enhanced system provides enhancements such as advanced server scalability and optimisation, expanded return and waste processes, and support for half-height Cubie drawers and pockets.

It also features a new medication label module to allow for the printing of patient-specific medication labels, plus enhanced server functionality to provide more flexibility through medication configuration and user permissions, and improved reporting features.

The update will further enhance the benefits of Pyxis ES, an enterprise-ready web-accessible platform specifically designed to improve medication management. The system is currently in use across more than 1,000 healthcare facilities.
