BD reports strong results for third quarter of 2015
BD has announced its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2015, during which it delivered a quarterly adjusted revenue total of $3.13 billion (2.01 billion pounds).
For the three months ending on June 30th 2015, this represented an increase of 45.2 percent over the prior-year period as reported, or 55.6 percent on a currency-neutral basis. This increase was attributable to the recent acquisition of CareFusion.
Revenues from its medical segment increased by 84.2 percent year-on-year on a reported basis as a result of this acquisition, with the integration of the newly-purchased business proceeding as planned.
Its currency-neutral adjusted revenues for the full fiscal year 2015, including the accretion from the acquisition of CareFusion, is expected to be up by 28.5 to 29 percent, which is at the high end of its previously communicated guidance range.
Vincent Forlenza, chairman, chief executive officer and president of BD, said: "We have confidence in our increased earnings outlook for fiscal year 2015 and remain committed to serving our customers with superior healthcare products."
The firm also revealed last month that it has delivered more than $25 million in cost savings through its significant improvement in terms of environmental performance over the last five years.
