BDTA inaugurates new president at midwinter meeting
The British Dental Trade Association (BDTA) has welcomed its new president, who made a speech at the organisation’s midwinter meeting in London this week.
Edward Attenborough, who will officially start his new role on January 1st 2010, will take over from former president Simon Gambold, who is also the managing director of Henry Schein Dental, reported Dentistry.co.uk.
He has served as the head of the organisation since 2007.
The news provider quotes Mr Attenborough as stating: “I aim to continue with the focus on quality standards in both the surgery and laboratory sides of the industry, as well as meeting the needs of the membership.”
He is currently the managing director of Attenborough Dental.
In other BDTA news, the organisation held its annual dental showcase in November, which was attended by more people than expected, the news publication informed last month.
The body’s executive director Tony Reed was quoted as saying that the event was “bigger and better than ever before”.
