BDTA welcomes dentists’ contributions to Change4Life
The British Dental Trade Association (BDTA) has highlighted the role played by dental professionals in promoting the government's Change4Life campaign.
Figures from the BDTA show that 2,000 Change4Life questionnaires have been filled out by dental practice visitors and their children, thanks to the awareness raised by dentists.
The questionnaires are designed to engage families with the principles of healthier eating and living that form the basis of the Department of Health campaign, with incentives available to both patients and practices for their participation.
Tony Reed, executive director at the BDTA, said the success of Change4Life is dependent on the contributions of dentists across England and Wales.
"We are keen to spread the message about the benefits of a healthy mouth as widely as possible. Thank you to all those who have committed to the campaign so far," he added.
This comes in the same month that the government launched the next phase of Change4Life, which is designed to encourage UK residents to trade unhealthy habits for healthier ones.
