Beckman Coulter announces fourth-quarter and full-year financial results
Beckman Coulter, provider of scientific products, has published its financial results for 2009.
The data showed that fourth quarter revenues stood at $989.6 million (632.17 million pounds) – a sum that included $120.2 million from the acquisition of Olympus Diagnostics.
This represents a rise of 22 per cent compared to the figures reported for the same period of 2008.
Operating income at the firm grew to $155.8 million ? up by 28.9 per cent on the previous year’s quarter.
The company now predicts that its total revenue for 2010 will be between $3.8 billion and $3.9 billion, a sum that includes an expected $480 million to $500 million from Olympus products.
Chairman, president and chief executive officer of the organisation Scott Garrett stated: “We had an excellent finish to a solid year in a very challenging environment, reflecting the ongoing strength of our business model.”
