Beckman Coulter launches new ISD user-defined reagents

Beckman Coulter has announced the launch of four new immunosuppressant drug (ISD) user-defined reagents as part of its therapeutic drugs monitoring menu.

Designed to work with its AU family of clinical chemistry systems, the assays are manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific and will aid the management of immunosuppressant drug therapy for kidney, liver and/or heart transplant patients.

The Thermo Scientific QMS Everolimus, Cedia Mycophenolic Acid, QMS Tacrolimus and Cedia Cyclosporine Plus assays are being launched in the US and EU for use on Beckman Coulter's AU480, AU680 and AU5800 clinical chemistry systems.

This product launch also serves to strengthen the company's longstanding working relationship with Thermo Fisher Scientific.

John Blackwood, senior vice-president of Beckman Coulter's diagnostics, chemistry and immunoassay business unit, said: "By adding these four new high-quality assays to Beckman Coulter's menu, our customers can provide valuable information to help physicians establish dosing regimens, maintain therapeutic levels and detect toxic levels for transplant recipients."

The company previously expanded its product range with the launch of its high-throughput Avanti JXN-30 centrifuge earlier this year.
