Bedrock hires new commercial director

Bedrock has announced the appointment of Dr Laura Ciccolini as its new commercial director, a role that sees her join the medical comms agency's senior management team.

Dr Ciccolini will be tasked with supporting and driving Bedrock's growth, working across its insights, medical communications and multimedia practices, reports PMLiVE.

A former business development manager for the life science and biotechnology company Sigma-Aldrich, Dr Ciccolini can boast more than 15 years of experience in life sciences and biochemical engineering roles.

In addition to her position at Sigma-Aldrich, her past experience includes stints as executive director and commercial director at the pharmaceutical and biotechnology equipment supplier Biopharma Group.

David Youds, chief executive officer of Bedrock, said: "Laura will be instrumental in shaping the way we connect with clients and their audiences, as well as providing commercial leadership within the agency to ensure we meet our goals as an organisation."

This follows the recent appointment of Laura Redman as an account manager within the agency's growing medical communications practice.
