Beiersdorf annual report picks up award

Beiersdorf has announced that its annual report has been recognised with the ARC Silver Award for outstanding achievement in the overall category.

The winners of the accolades from Mercomm will be officially named at a ceremony at the Ritz Carlton in New York City next week.

Over 2,100 annual reports from 28 countries were submitted to the annual competition, which seeks to define excellence in the field of communications.

Reni L Witt, president of Mercomm, said; “The gala awards ceremony is considered the Academy Awards of annual reports.”

She added that the judges were impressed with the workmanship of the Beiersdorf book, especially its photography.

Earlier this week, Beiersdorf announced an 11 per cent rise in its half-year turnover in the central and eastern European market.

The company reported revenues of 180 million euros (140 million pounds) in the region during the first six months of 2008.
