Beiersdorf commemorates Nivea anniversary with brand book

Beiersdorf has helped Nivea celebrate 100 years of pioneering work in the beauty industry by creating a book charting the company's product successes over the years.

The book starts with the story of Nivea's first ever skincare cream and charts the company's products from then right through to today.

Guest writers, including scholars from a variety of European and US universities, have been drafted in to contribute to the volume.

Thomas Schonen, head of corporate communications at Beiersdorf, said: "The Nivea book … tells the story of how the brand grew from a cream invented in a Hamburg laboratory to the world's largest skincare brand."

He added that the book explores the close relationship that consumers have with the Nivea brand.

On the eve of Nivea's 100th anniversary, Beiersdorf released strong financial results for the first half of this year – with organic sales growth of 2.6 percent being recorded.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800708682-ADNFCR
