Beiersdorf hails outgoing communications leader

Beiersdorf has announced the imminent departure of Thomas Schoenen, its vice-president of corporate brands and communications.

Mr Schoenen is leaving the health and personal care company on April 30th 2012 of his own accord, having successfully served in various key media roles at Beiersdorf for 14 years.

In his time with the firm, he helped to lead a number of important marketing campaigns for the Nivea brand, including the celebrations for Nivea's 100th anniversary and a high-profile collaboration with football coach Joachim Loew.

Petra Rob will succeed Mr Schoenen on an interim basis from May 1st until a permanent successor can be found.

Thomas Quaas, chairman of the board at Beiersdorf, said: "Thomas Schoenen has made a major contribution to the success of Beiersdorf and its brands with his exceptional commitment and outstanding work … We wish him every success in the future."
