Beiersdorf reports its sales on upward trend

6th November 2009

Beiersdorf sales are on a positive trajectory and appear to be recovering following the recession, the firm’s latest financial report indicates.

According to its latest figures, the company underwent organic consumer business sales growth of 0.9 per cent during the first nine months of 2009.

Its sales amounted to 3.80 million euros (3.41 million pounds) for the period.

Additionally, Beiersdorf’s pharmacy brands Nivea and Eucerin both increased their global market share during the timeframe.

The latest report indicates that the firm’s outlook appears to be progressing well, stated its chairman Thomas Quaas.

He commented: “Following the decline in business in the first months of the year, Beiersdorf was able to improve its sales trend in both business segments in the third quarter.”

Meanwhile, last month, Beiersdorf announced a makeover of the Nivea brand logo as it strives to harmonise all imaging across the brand for increased recognition and improved sales.
