Bell Pottinger wins Ripple and CoInvestor fintech briefs

Bell Pottinger has won a number of new briefs as part of a dedicated push into the fast-growing financial technology sector.

The global agency began working with CoInvestor, a platform for investing in non-listed stocks, earlier this year. The project encompasses brand identity and web user experience elements, and the agency has been given an ongoing retainer for media relations and digital marketing support, reports PRWeek.

Meanwhile, the firm has also won a retained brief as the European agency partner for Ripple, a San Francisco-based provider of blockchain digital transaction support to several leading banks, including Santander in the UK.

This comes after Bell Pottinger appointed Claudia Bate as a new partner in March, with the staffer joining from the specialist tech agency Hotwire.

Ms Bate said: "There is huge opportunity in this sector, and with our expertise and full-service offer, we are confident we can provide a market-leading service to both start-ups and established brands."

She also confirmed that the agency is close to reaching agreements to work with several other fintech clients, with its fintech offering to be developed in close partnership with the Bell Pottinger Singapore office.
