Binding Site launches new Hevylite assays in Europe

4th August 2010

Binding Site has announced the release of four new Hevylite assay products for use in monitoring patients with multiple myeloma and other B cell dyscrasias.

The new IgG and IgA Kappa and Lambda assays function with Binding Site’s own SPAplus protein analyser, as well as Siemens’ BN II system, and are used to analyse immunoglobulin heavy/light chain pairs.

These products have received European CE Mark accreditation and are designed to offer increased sensitivity over serum protein electrophoresis for quantifying monoclonal immunoglobulins.

Binding Site states that it will continue to expand its Hevylite range over the course of the year.

Paul Duncan, sales and marketing director at Binding Site, said: “Not only are the Hevylite assays proving to be clinically useful for monitoring patients, but new evidence is emerging which illustrates the independent prognostic value of the Hevylite ratio.”

Last month, Binding Site was presented with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, recognising the growth of its international sales and export revenues in the last three years.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800012658-ADNFCR
