Bio-Rad acclaimed for KnowItAll Informatics

Bio-Rad Laboratories has received critical acclaim for its KnowItAll Informatics spectroscopy software, it has emerged.

The system presents researchers with a single user interface with options to access databases, spreadsheets and other methods of analysis from a centralised control panel.

It was recently named as a silver medallist in the informatics category of Scientific Computing’s 2007 Readers’ Choice awards, Bio-Rad states.

Dr Gregory Banik, general manager of Bio-Rad’s Informatics division, said: "We are honoured to be recognised by the readers of Scientific Computing."

He added that this is the tenth consecutive year that the company has received an award in the category.

"To be recognised in this category for the past ten years is a testament to Bio-Rad’s expertise and commitment to innovation in spectral informatics," he concluded.

Bio-Rad recently launched an advisory board to report back on developments pertaining to its informatics software.

The firm cites KnowItAll Informatics as the largest commercially-available spectroscopy solution in the world.
