Bio-Rad-Laboratories are recovering from a recent ransomware attack

On December 5th, a ransomware attack was carried out on Bio-Rad Laboratories’ (BRL) network, and as a result the company instantaneously responded to the disaster by shutting down multiple systems to control the activity. Despite the tragedy, BRL have recently publicised that they are progressively recovering from the attacks by returning to normal procedures and restoring the affected systems. Furthermore, the company have recommenced the distribution of their products and are taking orders.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Bio-Rad, Norman Schwartz, stated: “We appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers as we work to re-establish our systems following this attack. I would like to recognize the incredible work of Bio-Rad employees around the world this past week and commend their outstanding efforts to minimise disruption to our customers as we navigated this situation.”
