Biogen named among UK’s top workplaces

Biogen has been recognised as one of the top employers in the UK in an annual report from the Great Place to Work Institute.

The company was the highest-ranking medium-sized pharmaceutical company in the annual Best Workplaces list, which is compiled via an employee survey and an audit into management and HR practices.

It marks the second time that Biogen UK has received this honour, with the company having submitted entries for the 2011 and 2015 lists and been successful both times.

Organisations on the Best Workplace generally experience better financial performance, as well as lower employee turnover, greater customer satisfaction, more innovative and creative thinking, higher productivity and enhanced public perception.

Terry O'Regan, vice-president and managing director for Biogen in the UK and Ireland, said: "Creating the right culture and environment where people feel empowered to uniquely contribute to the vision of improving the lives of multiple sclerosis patients is of paramount importance."

Formerly known as Biogen Idec, the company is known for producing leading multiple sclerosis therapies such as Tysabri, Tecfidera, Avonex, Fampyra and Plegridy.
