Biohit launches Quanta pipette service

Biohit is aiming to provide "unique flexibility" to companies and laboratories with a new range of pipette service software called Quanta, it revealed today.

The system is designed to give users different options given the level of calibration and service they need.

Three types have been developed by Biohit – QuantaCal, QuantaLab and QuantaPro – and each one meets current ISO standards.

Automatic inaccuracy and imprecision calculations are also provided by the software, so calibration and other reports are easy to understand, the company added.

"It also maintains a complete service and calibration history and flags pipettes due/overdue for calibration," a statement said.

The product is part of Biohit’s current line-up that focuses on diagnostic test systems as well as liquid handling products.

Although the UK does not house one of the group’s production plants, those interested in science sales jobs may know it is the location for one of its subsidiaries alongside France, Germany, Japan, Russia and China.
