BioMerieux reports strong nine-month fiscal results for 2015
BioMerieux has published its financial results for the first three quarters of 2015, during which it generated a sales total of 1.41 billion euros (1.02 billion pounds).
This represented an 18.3 percent increase on the first nine months of last year, or an 8.3 percent increase when assessed in terms of constant exchange rates and scope of consolidation.
The firm saw solid momentum in the Americas and the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions in the third quarter, with a number of significant operational advances achieved during the period.
Its FilmArray panel for meningitis and encephalitis received US regulatory approval, with its Vidas 3 immunoanalyser also launching in the territory, while its capital expenditures were deployed as planned.
Additionally, the company's FilmArray Ebola test was deemed eligible for World Health Organization procurement last month.
Alexandre Merieux, chief executive officer at BioMerieux, said: "Given this robust growth dynamic and based on our nine-month sales, organic sales growth objective should end the year around 6.5 percent."
