BioTek selects Fisher Scientific as new UK supplier partner

BioTek has announced the appointment of Fisher Scientific as an exclusive supplier partner in the UK as part of a renewed commitment to the British market.

The companies will be allying to bring their complete line of microplate instrumentation, including the award-winning Cytation series of cell imaging multi-mode readers, to clients across the country.

It comes shortly after BioTek opened a new UK office in Swindon. Alongside Fisher Scientific,  it will now work to bring enhanced sales, applications, technical assistance and services to support both new and existing customers.

According to BioTek, this fresh investment reflects the strong growth prospects of the nation's biotechnology and life science sectors and the high-quality scientific research conducted here, supported by government funding.

The company said: "BioTek's new direct office and new partnership with Fisher Scientific will provide comprehensive support to our mutual customers in this very important marketplace."

Based in Vermont, BioTek was founded in 1968 and specialises in providing microplate instrumentation and bioanalytics software for the life sciences sector.
