Biotronik launches Reocor external pacemaker

15th May 2012

Biotronik has announced the launch of its new Reocor external pacemaker, an intuitively-designed addition to its external products portfolio.

The new device is debuting in the US and has been created to facilitate individualised patient therapy, easy handling and flexibility, featuring clearly marked dials, extended longevity and robust battery life, while accommodating high pacing rates and outputs.

It is being made available in two models for dual and single-chamber pacing therapy and allows customers to visualise programmed settings at a glance, meaning it can be operated without any special training.

Jake Langer, president at Biotronik, said: "Reocor offers our customers clear ease-of-use advantages … This device is another example of Biotronik's commitment to quality."

This follows the launch of several advanced external devices – such as a new pacing system analyser and a programmer system – by Biotronik over the last two years.

Last month, the firm also announced the European debut of Evia HF-T, the first cardiac resynchronisation therapy pacemaker series approved for use in an MRI environment.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801363409-ADNFCR
