Biotronik study showcases PRO-Kinetic Energy stent performance
Biotronik has published a new study that showcases the strong performance of its PRO-Kinetic Energy stent system in treating cardiovascular conditions.
The company has published six-month results from the coronary stenting Energy registry, which investigated the safety and clinical performance of the device among more than 1,000 patients.
It was found that the Biotronik product was able to deliver significant improvements in rates of major adverse coronary events, including among elderly patients and those affected by acute coronary syndrome and highly complex lesions.
Alain Aimonetti, vice-president of marketing and sales at Biotronik, said this supports the idea of PRO-Kinetic Energy as an "excellent platform" for this patient population.
"For years we have invested in continued development in our stent platforms and these outstanding results are a testament to our dedication," he added.
Last week, the medical technology firm published further clinical data showing the benefits offered by its Pantera Lux paclitaxel-releasing balloon to patients with restenotic coronary artery lesions.
