Biotronik to announce new clinical study data at ESC
Biotronik has announced its plans to highlight data from a number of new clinical studies at the forthcoming European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2011.
The medical technology firm is attending the Paris event at the end of this month to present findings from trials of several of its key products, including Ecost, a study evaluating Biotronik Home Monitoring among implantable cardioverter-defibrillator patients.
These results aim to highlight the safety and efficacy of the Biotronik system, while the separate presentation from the Trust study examines Home Monitoring's efficacy in remote follow-up applications.
In total, the information presented at ESC will encompass a range of clinical experiences collected from more than 5,000 patients.
Marlou Janssen, global vice-president of marketing and sales, said: "At Biotronik, we are committed to setting new standards in clinical excellence."
Last month, the company announced the commencement of a new trial of Orsiro, its sirolimus-eluting coronary stent treatment for various heart conditions.
