BMI Healthcare appoints new chief executive officer

6th June 2011

BMI Healthcare is to come under new leadership following the appointment of Stephen Collier as chief executive of General Healthcare Group.

The organisation, which owns the BMI Healthcare brand, has selected Mr Collier as the successor to Adrian Fawcett, who has departed the company after leading it for four years.

He brings extensive experience in working with the NHS and has fulfilled various operational and leadership roles within the company, including director of BMI Health Services and hospital executive director.

The board of General Healthcare Group expressed confidence in the credentials of Mr Collier, while thanking Mr Fawcett for his contributions to the business.

"Under his stewardship the BMI Healthcare brand has been reinvigorated and the group is now well placed to thrive in a post-NHS reform environment," read a statement from the company.

In 2010, General Healthcare Group reported a revenue total of 855 million pounds, up by 2.8 percent on the previous year thanks to a year-on-year rise in caseloads.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800567995-ADNFCR
