BMI Healthcare sponsors Medical Journalists’ Association Summer Awards

BMI Healthcare has provided sponsorship for the Medical Journalists' Association Summer Awards for 2011, which took place this week.

Held at the Royal Society of Medicine headquarters on July 12th 2011, the awards are held on an annual basis to celebrate excellence in medical writing in broadcasting and printed media, as well as in the charity and campaign sector.

BMI Healthcare was the sponsor of the regional print journalist and regional broadcast journalist categories, a role which it occupied for the second year running.

This comes after the healthcare firm announced last month that it will be the presenting sponsor of the 2011 General Practice Awards, which are taking place in London in November.

Partnering publishing company Campden Media, BMI Healthcare will be responsible for presenting two of the night's key prizes: general practitioner of the year and general practice of the year.

It will also be providing 10,000 pounds in bursaries to GP practices entering the awards.
