BMI Healthcare unveils Chelsfield Park Hospital upgrade plans
BMI Healthcare has announced plans for an upgrade and renovation project at its Chelsfield Park Hospital in Orpington, which is set to get underway in January 2014.
The three million pound project is designed to improve the facilities for patients, consultants, staff and visitors, while also cementing the hospital's status as a leading provider of private healthcare in the region.
Improvements will focus on the oldest parts of the hospital and will include a new open-plan hospital reception and waiting area, a refurbished outpatients department, enhanced patient bedroom facilities and an extended assisted conception unit.
The work will be handled bY BMI Healthcare's major projects team, in conjunction with a group of specialist designers.
Michelle Williams, major projects manager at BMI Healthcare, said: "I am confident that the project will be delivered within the allocated 12 to 14-month deadline, ready for launch in the spring of 2015."
During the fiscal year ending on September 30th 2013, the company saw revenue from continuing operations rise by 2.1 percent year on year to 851.3 million pounds, following an increase in complexity and growing NHS caseload volumes.
