BMS elects new senior vice-president

Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) has announced that its board of directors has elected Jean-Marc Huet as senior vice-president and chief financial officer.

He is to succeed Andrew Bonfield who is leaving the company to seek new career opportunities at the end of this month.

In his role, Mr Huet will be responsible for directing and managing the company’s fiscal operations as well as the global finance operations of the organisation.

BMS’s chief executive officer and chairman Jim Cornelius expressed the company’s gratitude for the work undertaken by Mr Bonfield, illustrating that he had overseen significant changes in the firm’s financial organisation.

“He instituted new processes and procedures to modernise the company’s financial reporting and streamlined the global finance organisation to deliver superior financial support,” Mr Cornelius added.

Mr Bonfield was also praised for identifying Mr Huet as a potential successor to the role.

Previous to joining BMS, Mr Huet served as chief financial officer at Royal Numico in Amsterdam where he developed Numico’s acquisition within the baby food sector.

Last month, Mr Cornelius was elected as the new chairman of the board at BMS.
