Boston Scientific wins award for HR and employee satisfaction

Boston Scientific has won a Employees' Choice Best Places to Work award from Glassdoor, recognising its commitment to high standards of HR practice.

The online portal, which collates reviews on approximately 700,000 companies in more than 190 countries, has ranked Boston Scientific in 35th in its list of the top 100 large companies in the US, based on employee company reviews over the last year.

The firm received an overall company rating of 4.4 out of five, with staff reporting satisfaction with the company overall, as well as offering praise on key workplace factors such as career opportunities, compensation, benefits, work/life balance, senior management, culture and values.

The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor's proprietary algorithm, and takes into account the quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.

Wendy Carruthers, senior vice-president for human resources at Boston Scientific, said: "The award underscores the progress we have made creating a collaborative work environment where employees feel valued and inspired to make a positive difference in patient lives."
