Brew Media Relations to launch UK office

Brew Media Relations is expected to launch its first UK office in the coming weeks, with recruitment for the new venture to commence soon.

PRWeek reports that the tech and media-focused agency, which was acquired by London-based Freuds in January this year, has chosen the UK as the location for its first office outside the US.

Brew Media Relations currently employs 20 members of staff and operates in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. Its client base includes Oracle, WordPress and L'Oreal's Women in Digital initiative.

The company has not confirmed the details of its move, including on whether or not the new base would be located within Freuds' existing offices near Oxford Street in London.

However, it is understood that Freuds has allocated a potential budget of up to 25 million pounds to fund further international expansion efforts, with Brew likely to benefit from this now that it operates as part of the group.

The agency is run by chief executive officer Dena Cook and founder Brooke Hammerling, both of whom remained in their posts following the Freuds takeover.
