Bristol-Myers Squibb names new member of board of directors

Bristol-Myers Squibb has announced the appointment of Peter Arduini to its board of directors, effective as of April 1st.

Mr Arduini is the current president, chief executive officer and director of Integra LifeSciences, a leading global medical technology company. He can boast more than 25 years of global experience in medical device technology and pharmaceutical businesses.

His career has seen him lead operations in China, Europe, Japan and the US, with former employers including Baxter and GE Healthcare.

Following his appointment, Mr Arduini will also serve as a member of the Bristol-Myers Squibb board's audit committee from May 3rd onwards.

Lamberto Andreotti, chairman of Bristol-Myers Squibb, said: "His commercial, financial and operational experience, along with a deep understanding of healthcare, make him an ideal choice for our board. I look forward to his contributions."
