BSN Medical launches new wound assessment app

BSN Medical has announced the launch of a new application for iOS devices that is aimed at facilitating wound care for nursing staff.

The Cutimed Wound Assessment App is available for iPad and iPhone, offering help and advice for the assessment of different kinds of wounds, as well as suggesting the most effective dressing products available.

It has been designed to maximise user-friendliness with large, easy-to-use icons based around the three main categories of tissue type, wound depth and exudate level, while incorporating familiar functionality typical to Apple software.

The new app is part of a range of Cutimed Wound Bed Assessment tools, which also includes pocket-sized guides, reporting sheets and interactive dice for training, as well as a wound assessment learning module that is yet to be launched.
