Buchi UK releases extraction white paper

Buchi UK has announced the release of a new scientific white paper that outlines many of the advantages of the SpeedExtractor when extracting valuable materials from rock cores.

The company states the extraction process provides essential data which can be used in the further exploration, evaluation and production of oil and gas reservoirs. 

Production can be optimised with more thorough measurement and analysis of porosity, permeability and fluid saturation from core samples, enabling operators to more accurately characterise pore systems in the rock and model reservoir behaviour.

Buchi states the SpeedExtractor helps this process by reducing the time it takes to clean cores for analyte extractions from days to hours and increasing the number of samples that can be simultaneously analysed to six – with a mixture of up to four different solvents.

The company is best known for the invention of its Rotavapor product, which is one of the world's leading evaporation technology devices.
