Buchi wins InterLabTec-Award for outstanding achievement
Buchi has been honoured for its contributions to the life sciences sector after being presented with an InterLabTec-Award for 2011.
The firm was awarded the prize for its outstanding achievements in the chemical-physical analysis sector, particularly in recognition of its work in developing the high-pressure extraction tool SpeedExtractor.
Used in residual analysis, the device prevents solvents from entering into the gaseous phase during experiments, featuring automatically-sealing extraction cells that remove the need for complex manual closure.
Buchi recently released two new models of the SpeedExtractor, the E-914 and E-916, which are able to extract up to six samples simultaneously.
The manufacturer said: "The new model is a breakthrough in alleviating the immense work load and pressure of time in residual laboratories as well as offering enhanced security during the analysis process."
Earlier this year, the firm's NIRMaster FT-NIR solution for food and feed quality control was shortlisted by SelectScience members for the Scientist's Choice Award for best spectroscopy product.
