CareFusion introduces new Alaris technology offerings

22nd February 2012

CareFusion has introduced a number of new additions to its Alaris medical technology portfolio at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Conference in the US.

New infusion technologies, connectivity services and analytics products are being launched, including three Alaris Connectivity Services applications for use in pre-populating infusion parameters, automating documentation and managing infusion pump fleets.

Other new offerings include the web-based Alaris Infusion Viewer for Pharmacy Logistics and a mobile-compatible version of the CareFusion Knowledge Portal platform for ventilation therapy.

These new products are aimed at improving interoperability with healthcare information technology (HIT), thus enhancing efficiency and care quality standards.

Tom Leonard, president of medical systems at CareFusion, said: "CareFusion is uniquely able to equip customers with actionable information that helps bridge the gap between medical devices and a hospital's HIT system."

In December, the company attended the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists' annual conference, where it demonstrated new additions to the Pyxis and Rowa ranges.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801299645-ADNFCR
