Carestream Dental launches CS Digitaliser app

Carestream Dental has announced the launch of CS Digitaliser, a new app for the iPad that aims to offer assistance to dentists that wish to update their practices with digital technology.

The application aims to offer professionals a step-by-step guide to building a digital practice customised to their specific requirements. A Needs Assessment Survey allows users to determine their goals and learn how to upgrade, with a Digital Adoption Guide offering information on where to start and how best to provide training.

Additionally, the app lets dentists compare their performance to other practitioners around the world and calculate the business potential of going digital.

Currently, digitalisation is becoming an increasingly prominent trend in the world of dentistry, due to the efficiency benefits it offers and the positive impression it can make on patients.

Ed Shellard, chief commercial officer of Carestream Dental, said: "Patients are more likely to accept treatment when the problem is easy for them to visualise and understand."

The company recently partnered with Exocad Software to offer systems integration between Exocad's design software and the CS Solutions product portfolio.
