Carestream Dental offers grants to poor families

Carestream Dental – an international company with over a century's experience in the dental industry which owns Practice Works UK – has launched a new initiative offering grants to less well-off families.

The firm is giving the "gift of smiles" by supporting the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, which helps provide orthodontic scholarships to households where essential treatments such as braces are too expensive for their tight budgets.

Based in the US, the Smile for a Lifetime scheme has grown by more than 37 per cent over the last year and is on target to serve families in all 50 US states by spring of next year.

Carestream comprises of a number of smaller international companies – including Practice Works UK – working together towards the common goal of redefining dental expertise.

Its story began in 1896 and today the business's philosophy is based on the three pillars of humanised technology, workflow integration and diagnostic excellence – developing better clinical outcomes for practices and their patients.
