Carestream Dental to launch low-dose CS 9300 system

30th April 2014

Carestream Dental has announced the launch of an updated version of the CS 9300 multi-modality imaging system.

The new device made its debut at the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) in New Orleans this week, offering a new option for effectively scanning patients using a lower radiation dose.

It provides 3D, 2D and optional one-shot cephalometric imaging capabilities, allowing images to be captured in just over a second, while it also incorporates five field-of-view sizes, auto-landmark detection and other features to cover a wide scope of clinical needs.

Additionally, the firm took the opportunity to present a new version of its CS Model digital design software for creating orthodontic appliances.

Matt Hendrickson, US orthodontic director for Carestream Dental, said: "From its adaptable fields of view to easy patient positioning, the CS 9300 really is the all-in-one system that clinicians need in their practice."

Earlier this year, the company celebrated the success of its CS 8100 panoramic imaging system after the device was named the best of its kind for 2014 by The Dental Advisor magazine.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801716887-ADNFCR
