Carestream Dental to provide software for Olympics

Carestream Dental has won a contract to provide its R4 Practice Management Software and digital imaging technology for use by organisers of the London 2012 Olympics.

The company's technology has been selected for use at the cutting-edge dental suites at the Olympic Village, which are being built to care for athletes, officials, facilitators and family members during the sporting event.

Located in Stratford, the dental polyclinic will cater to thousands of patients over the course of the summer Games, reports Dentistry.co.uk.

"Carestream Dental is delighted to be chosen as a supplier for such a high-profile, hugely anticipated event, which is generating excitement that will continue to intensify until the moment the Games begin," said the company.

This contract from the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games is one of a number of major alliances announced by Carestream Dental in recent months.

In December 2011, the company announced a new data-sharing alliance between Carestream Dental and data solutions provider Lexicomp that will help to enhance its practice management software.
