Carestream Dental’s CS 8100 receives fresh accolades from Dental Advisor

Carestream Dental has announced that its CS 8100 system has been named top panoramic imaging system by industry publication The Dental Advisor.

It claimed this accolade as part of The Dental Advisor's 2015 Product Awards and Preferred Products issue, repeating its achievement from last year. Additionally, the unit received an Excellent 5-Plus designation and an editors' choice award from the magazine in 2013.

The CS 8100 has received eight other accolades since its launch in 2012, including an international red dot award for product design and the US DrBicuspid Dental Excellence Award for best new diagnostic or imaging device.

Ed Shellard, chief commercial officer at Carestream Dental, said: "The fact that [CS 8100] continues to garner awards is a testament to the unit's ability to streamline the workflow of practices even to this day."

Designed with smaller practices in mind, the CS 8100 provides top-quality imaging capabilities and a compact footprint. The company manufactured its 1,000th unit of the hugely successful machine last year.
